—Tom Hawks II, President
Naples Grape & Arts Festival LLC

The Historic Naples Grape Festival has been an annual community event celebrating Naples' grape harvest, local businesses, and the community. Dating back to the late 1800's, the Festival showcases the uniqueness of the Naples community and its hard-working, creative and friendly residents. Over the years, its included parades, carnivals, street dances, and grape-stomping as well as arts, crafts, great foods, and beverages. And, let us not forget the "World's Greatest Grape Pie Contest!" The Naples Grape Festival has been the recipient of the Finger Lakes region's Reader's Choice Award for "Best Festival in the Finger Lakes" for a number of years including 2021.

The Historic Naples Grape Festival is held every September welcoming talented artisans, winemakers, local and regional music performers, home improvement specialists, and purveyors of fine foods.

This year, the Historic Naples Grape Festival has several new areas in their own exclusive locations… Sponsors, Specialties & Wellness, the Grape Country Family Park, and the Kids Zone.

Sponsors and Specialties, located in a spacious new area behind the Memorial Town Hall, is filled with vendors specializing in new residential & commercial construction, home improvement & furnishings and specialty foods. Welcome back long-time corporate sponsors, Renewal By Andersen, LeafFilter, CUTCO, and LeafGuard, who year after year provide our visitors with much needed home improvement expertise, products, and services. Along side them we also look forward to Stella Mechanical & Energy, Highland Contractors, Finger Lakes Comfort, among others for your home and property maintenance. Come see first time vendor, Live Edge Table & Design for beautiful contemporary furniture. See demonstrations on the latest in energy and time-saving products. Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association provides education on local Finger Lakes environmental issues. Don’t miss out on give aways, raffles, and prize drawings.

Also, enjoy the many tastings you will experience with our specialty food vendors. From jams and jellies to tasty cakes and desserts, to custom meats and spices, it is all here. Whether it's something to savor at home or to create that memorable gift, you will find it among these phenomenal purveyors of fine foods and condiments.

The Grape Country Family Park is located in front of Naples Central School close to the food court. This park-like setting provides families and friends a quieter place to gather and relax. Grab something to eat, find a table, and enjoy music performed by local artists....all free of charge!

The Kid’s Zone is a wonderful place designed for young kids (ages 5 - 12) to learn and have fun! Watch your children create grape and fall themed crafts that they can take home and be proud of.

Come and join us on September 24th & 25th anytime between 10:00am - 5:00pm. The Historic Naples Grape Festival is held outside on a portion of the grounds of the Naples High School and across the street at Memorial Town Hall from 10am till 5pm, rain or shine.

In addition, Naples Grape Festival 2022 is moving to a week-long format. It begins the weekend before the Historic Naples Grape Festival with a number of community-based events which includes a fireworks extravaganza, parade, street dance, local winemaker's competition, and Chili Cook-off. We are also adding a special fundraising event, the Grape Country Gala "Boots & Blue Jeans" during the week to kick-off the Historic Grape Festival weekend. These Naples Grape Festival 2022 Community Events will be held in various locations around Naples. (See Community Events for more details.)

Be sure to come to Naples Grape Festival 2022! You’ll be glad you did!

FEATURED ARTIST — Darryl Abraham

The Naples Rotary is proud to feature the work of local artist, Darryl Abraham, at this year's Naples Grape Festival 2022. There are several reasons for our pride:

One, Darryl's dad, George "Doc" Abraham, was a long-time Rotarian whose enthusiasm for our Naples community was infectious. He helped put the Festival on the map through energetic promotion on his and Katy's radio show, "The Green Thumb". Each week he'd ferry grape pies to Rochester media stars, getting them hooked on Naples after one bite! We know Doc would love Darryl's connection to this event.

Two, Darry's work is beloved and familiar to many of us. It's accessible and joyous. We have it in our homes. It graces the entrance to our High School. If Darryl has ever done any art or sign work for you, your invoice arrives in an envelope he illustrated — a unique work!

Three, I referred to Darryl as "local" and he is. He was born here; he grew up on Cohocton Street. He lives there today. He attended Naples Central School, graduating in 1966. He did his undergraduate work at Virginia Commonwealth University and received his master's degree from University of North Carolina. He taught there after graduation, and eventually returned to Naples to raise his family. He's part of the community. He's there with a helping hand and a shy smile.

While Darryl's art features familiar fields, farms and vistas, his work is widely known. It is exhibited in big-city art galleries. It can be found in major collections, in U.S. Embassies across the globe, and in the Smithsonian.

We're pleased that Darryl's work helps us tell our Naples story.
